What movie does Trump's presidency remind you of?

During the GOP primaries in early 2016, I told this to one of my anti-Trump conservative friends over a glass of excellent Scotch in a Washington, DC, bar:

Let me put it in movie terms. Under Obama every day has been like a disturbing horror movie. Under Trump every day will be like Police Academy. We'll have fun, defeat the villains, and bring normalcy back.

It seems that every single day of Trump's presidency keeps proving me right. Except that sometimes, instead of Police Academy we get Airplane and occasionally Naked Gun.

What movie do you feel you're in during the Trump presidency?

Here's a larger image with the swamp and the alligator from the original poster.

Try as I might, I just can't get beyond the MTE. She appears in every poster.

Most Equal Komrads,

I would submit that the Trump Presidency is best represented by the last scene of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

The stateroom scene in Night At The Opera?

Or maybe the opera itself in that movie -- with all the chaos introduced into Il Trovatore?

It's Invasion of the Body Snatchers, hands down!
They go to "sleep" and "wake up" crazy! Indoc works!

Focusing narrowly on the glorious aura of the recent PROTESTICLES episode of Trump era,
this eerily contra-symmetric nexus comes to mind :

(in case of innocent ignorance, just consult Clockwork Orange transcript)
or, better yet, recall this (@1:39 leads to "yarbles") :

BTW, the opening 20 seconds of the (above) Derelict Casino episode, that's a ghoulish tilt-shot µ-reflection on a once-great culture, over time turning decadent, and here-and-now going outright down the tubes. With Old Continent before eyes, the pain of such decline, palpable already in the early 70s*, became now - second decade of 21th century - acute.

Comrade Kubrick had doubleplusgood foresight.
* Clockwork Orange is of 1971.

P.S. Alas, here you go, Amerikkka - just this minute, Berkeley (3.0?) in. RRRetch...

Highly equal, Comrade Pammie!
And your movie is played (with most fundamentally transformative morosity) here in EUSSR, too!

Guten Tag most esteemed Comrade Dummkopf! And Vielen Dank for your appreciation of my post. It is so good to know that your video from 1971 is demonstrative of what we view today! Ah yes, history is indeed repeating itself! We know what denial of this can bring. Let's just rewrite it!

Now the authorities have banned the movie Gone With the Wind because it is so “insensitive” to those who might be triggered by actual American history. Progress!

And I love it that EUUSA has surpassed the USSA in their utter willingness to succumb to the Globalist Masters of the Universe! Don't worry, we are not that far behind you. Then we all shall be ONE!

PROGRESS! (whatever you want it to mean and that's real freedom of thought!)

Or maybe the opera, La Gioconda, where Maria Callas declares her suicidal intention in the aria Suicidio! which then becomes the mantra for the entire EU. Fabulous!

Here it is if you care to watch:

ROLLERBALL

The elites conspire through their global political and media monopoly, change the rules, and practically sell their souls in order to destroy our hero.

After extreme individual effort in support of his team, and with a simple love of winning, one man of integrity remains standing/skating.

Witnesses to a seismic power shift, the crowd responds with an enthusiastic chant:

Donald John... DONALD JOHN!...
DONALD JOHN!!!

Pammie - I think your presentation of Suicidio! was much more dramatic... especially the special effects.

I actually believed you were singing with no arms or legs!

I wanted to ask Clara Illbustyourballs Zetkin if I could borrow her fainting couch but she had already fainted!

Gawd, Comrade Putout, that is sick! But, to be fair, the last time I heard this tune, Paint it Black, I did have suicidal thoughts just listening to it. And, that was a long, long time ago. Now, it's just plain RACIST!

It reminds me so much of the little ditty Lena sang, 99 Luftballons, back in the day. Was a big hit! I mean, you'd think the Europoppers would at least put some passion into their lame “interpretations” what with all they've been through. I believe that is indicative of their current “stance” on anything non-pc: Make nice to everyone and all will fall (into place).

After pondering this very important question, what has come to my mind is the monster hallucinating scene in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas".

User avatar
It's not a sequel , the collective must continue to impeach until it is !
