I would like to personally congratulate myself and all of our regular contributors, irregular contributors, lurkers, readers, thoughtcriminals, and fellow travelers as The People's Cube has been selected by the panelists at FeedSpot.com for inclusion at #33 on their recently unveiled page of Top 100 Humor Blogs. Additionally, we were awarded a combat action badge to be displayed on our lapel as an indication of honest and faithful service to the Motherland.

Technically, the ranking criteria included Facebook Fans (we have 44,682), Twitter Followers (we have 7,123), and Alexa Rank (ours is 217,988). There probably was also someone's personal taste involved, since the founder of FeedSpot.com emailed me saying, "I personally give you a high-five and want to thank you for your contribution to this world and I'm honored to have you as part of this!"

I would also like to high-five various trolls and the multitude of spammers coming to our site to promote things like [CENSORED] or even [CENSORED]. They are a testament of our very visible presence in the public discourse.

And, last but not least, we would like to congratulate a fake news joint called Snopes.com - a clickbait website known for spreading malware - whose part-time editors (when they are not making porn videos) repeatedly "debunk" our stories without linking back to us out of fear that we would outrank them in search results for "the current truth."

Pozdravlyayu, tovarisch! A most equal honor! In fact, this makes you more equal than 67 of the other sites in the list.

I used to use Snopes quite a bit in the early days. Their research skills in debunking urban legends were quite acceptable. Not so acceptable was their use of "dead" text, i.e. you couldn't select and copy it for posting elsewhere (can't risk losing any of those eyeballs for the advertisers!). However, once their true nature was revealed, it's interesting that they only started "debunking" arguments on the right. I haven't visited the site in probably three years, maybe four.

But I fear for our revolution if the bolshevik masses need to consult Snopes to "debunk" Kube articles. Has the USSA truly been so dumbed down? Cannot they see the brilliant truth behind each posted endeavour?

I thought Snopes was a smokeless tobacco product recalled by The People's
Bureau of Unhealthy Lifestyle Addictions and Shitty Journalism. In any event, congrats! The reporters from CNN should be along aaaaanny minute now.

You crazy commies and your jerk-off awards. I think I'm going to be sick. Where's the barf bag?

Facebook has come up with a cute idea to create this automatically generated promotional short video made of our uploaded pictures. But because the pictures belong to the People's Cube, the video turned out to be disturbingly surreal. There was no way for me to change or replace anything, so I posted it as is.

I can't embed it from FB, so you'll have to follow the link to see it.

We are gloriously 50 points ahead of 17 other interlopers

"There probably was also someone's personal taste involved"

Clearly the fix was in when TPC beat out Dave Barry.

Since this post has not been updated since 2017, this entry is to inform all comrades that The People's Cube now—five years later in 2022—holds the #22 spot on Feedspot's top 100 humor blogs.

WE'RE #22 - BETTER THAN 78 OF THE TOP 100

Another most equal accomplishment! We will redistribute ill-gotten recognition from the 21 above us, and #23 on down should have been in queue before they ran out.

Attaboy Oleg! Celebration in tractor barn #2 !

Babylon Bee is wondering....
BBW.jpg
Why is The Onion #2 on Feedspot's list of 100 Best Humor Blogs while The Babylon Bee is not on the list at all?
Neither are humor blogs—both are commercial news parody sites.
