Oh! The terrible pain of having to endure another minute of this criminal's illegitimate dictatorship is making me sick to my stomach!

Chimpy McHitler committed crimes of authorizing torture, illegal spying, illegal detentions, and suspension of habeus corpus. Someone (not me though) must revoke the grossly expanded powers of this most corrupt, inept and morally bankrupt President.

Bushitler has not been true to democracy; he is a traitor and enemy of democracy and if he is not stopped, we are going to lose our country, and our world, to corporate power.

And don't forget the crimes that Cheney has committed, too. Doesn't he realize how despised he is by the American people? I believe that Darth Cheney was involved with the Anthrax attacks on Patrick Lehey among others and that he ordered the downing of Paul Wellstone's plane. Remember, this guy likes torture. He might even like it in a kinky way. Maybe he gets off to people suffering.

They deserve not only impeachment, but a full public trial in the system they have undermined or ignored for six years. And when found guilty, they should be placed in prison for hard time. Let them try to spend their ill-gotten gains then!

Not only are the crimes of Cheney and Dumbya impeachable offenses but some of their dirty deeds are clearly in violation of international law. I say give Cheney and Dumbya one more term - Life in prison.

The time has come to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against these DOMESTIC ENEMIES TO THE CONSTITUTION who have occupied our White House.

Maybe we can impeach Cheney, and then try to get Bushitler with a Court Marshall. Perhaps then the chimp and his handler will get their due...

How long will it take you propaganda disseminating genocidal apologists to figure out that Bush and Cheney and their gang are mass murderers, thieves, liars, and traitors. Sorry I'm late to the post as usual. I was just out having a picnic with Kevin Rudd. He likes to call a Parliament sitting then go and have picnics instead of attending.

When Bushitler last visited Oz-stray-ya, they erected those huge concrete blocks with high fences, like the ones they use in Melbourne for that planet-hating environment-destroying "Grand Prix".

So he is guilty of crimes against traffic.

Well, not that we care so much about traffic, as that involves planet-destroying, CO2 emitting cars, but the barriers prevented progressive dissidents from protesting and displaying their signs of righteous hate visibly. Over at the Mime's impeachment site, there's a "forum" where people can gather to talk, or fantasize if you will, about ways to impeach Bush and Cheney, as well as revel in other forms of HBO. There are roughly 12,000 people registered. Impressive, huh? That is, until we break down the demographics. The following figures are strictly estimates, but of these 12,000 souls:

11,965 are peddlers of various remedies for virility deficiencies

32 are trolls, aka the 19 percenters

3 are the Mime, Crunchie the Beingist, and Annie Fey

IMO, the idea of a forum or message board (as opposed to a personal blog) is for numerous people to have conversations and discussions, much like we have here (even though this is called "People's Blog"). Now imagine how stupid it would look if the only posts under this particular thread were mine; not the just the original post, but all fifty-odd comments, just Pinkie, Pinkie, Pinkie.

There are no discussions going on in that impeachment forum that I've ever seen; just a couple of the same people making the same tired old anti-Bush posts, most of them cross-posted (i.e. borrowed or stolen) from elsewhere. Nothing gains traction and goes anywhere, the way it does here (often to the point of straying off the original topic). It's as if those few people are just slouching around, mumbling to themselves like drunken, drug addled vagrants in an alley. Yeah, that's one hell of a movement they've got going over there.

But that's what Annie Fey apparently does over there. She talks HBO to herself. Probably shuffles around the house all day wearing a housecoat with big pink flowers on it and grumbling about when her next government check is going to show up. THE jury in Australia's largest terrorism case has been asked to consider the "evil" America has done, as a court judges 12 Melbourne men accused of plotting to commit "violent jihad".

Opening the defence case today, lawyer Remy van de Wiel, QC, told the jury America had suffered an enormous blow to its pride as a result of the September 11 World Trade Center attack.

Mr Van de Wiel described the attacks as "evil and shocking".

"But don't forget, America has done many evil things too," Mr van de Wiel told the court.

He also told the Victorian Supreme Court jury to be cautious about forming the opinion that Osama bin Laden, who it has heard was a hero to the leader of the Melbourne group, was responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

"To say this was all orchestrated by Osama bin Laden is also very silly," he said.

"He has never claimed responsibility."

Mr Van de Wiel, who is representing Abdul Nacer Benbrika, the alleged leader of the group, also told the jury similarities existed between the teachings of the Bible and the Koran.

He pointed to sections of the Bible which detailed the "fanatical destruction of whole cities" and spoke of a "fanatical, vengeful God".

Mr van de Wiel began his opening address after a 10-day opening by the prosecution in which the jury heard that Benbrika and his followers had formed a terrorist organisation committed to violent jihad.

The jury was told of camping trips that were really terrorist training exercises, of masses of terrorist literature they had accumulated and of discussions on killing former prime minister John Howard.

Excerpts from 482 intercepted conversations relied on by the prosecution were played to the jury, some of them containing discussion on bomb-making and whether the killing of innocent people was permitted under Islamic law.

Some of the evidence against the 12 is provided by an undercover ASIO officer who discussed with Benbrika the building of a fertiliser bomb of the kind commonly used in terrorist attacks.

The undercover officer organised a demonstration for Benbrika and the pair were filmed in a remote location viewing a test explosion.

Mr van de Wiel described the event as a "little puff of smoke".

He said Benbrika only accompanied the agent known as SIO 39 because he was naive and ignorant.

"Like any silly male, he wants to see it, so he goes with 39," he said.

But Benbrika doesn't tell any of the group about the excursion and is not heard mentioning it to anyone else, which his lawyer said was evidence of his lack of genuine interest.

"He is a man who is not a terrorist," Mr van de Wiel said.

And the group was not a terrorist organisation, he said.

Mr van de Wiel said it did not have weapons, explosives, or ammunition and did not form a plot to kill Mr Howard.

"There are nasty expressions used (by the group)," he said.

"But they are no different to what trade unionists said about John Howard."

Mr van de Wiel urged the jury to listen carefully to the tapes of secretly recorded conversations that will be played to them during the trial and determine what the men really said, rather than the prosecution's interpretation of what they mean.

"What did they do .... what did they plan to do?" he said.

The jury should find that they did nothing, and had not planned to do anything, he said.

The trial before Justice Bernard Bongiorno continues tomorrow.
