Was Trump right? Islamic extremists protest at Ground Zero

Ground Zero

On February 1, 2006, there was a nationwide Anti-Islamofascist Rally, organized by the United American Committee. According to their press release, the purpose of the rally was to find and report those who:

"aid terrorists overseas or who might be trying to engage in terrorism here in America. This includes working to prevent illegal immigration and preventing funding for overseas groups that may ultimately go to helping terrorist movements."
Rallies were held in thirteen cities. The New York rally convened at Liberty Street, between Church and Greenwich, directly next to Ground Zero.

There was no mention of this event in the media. The gathering of anti-Islamofascists was small (perhaps a dozen or so people), but it is worth discussing the event because of who else showed up.

Counter-protesters appeared at the rally from the group Islamic Thinkers Society. These counter-protesters heckled the anti-Islamofascists and threatened to take over America.

The above photo is the only known photo of the counter-protesters at this event. You can see, in the background, the surrounding World Trade Center buildings.

According to WND.com, the ITS is affiliated with terrorist groups:

"The Islamic Thinkers Society is an off-shoot of Al-Muhajiroun, a British jihadist group that publicly raised funds for Hamas and has been suspected of facilitating transportation of British Muslims to fight U.S. troops overseas... In a private interview, a Queens based Al-Muhajiroun leader said he would be "absolutely honored" to give up his life in a "martyr operation" against American civilians. The leader warned that 'a jihad is coming to America.' "
CBN.com reports that the former ITS leader Abu Hamza al-Masri was convicted in a British court of incitement to murder, and that the ITS flag is identical to Al-Muhajiroun.

While ITS appearances have seemed to dwindle in recent years, in their heyday (the decade after 9/11/01), they promoted terrorism at different events around New York City.

The ITS are notorious for stomping on the American flag in a famous video, which is still on their YouTube account. A report of this incident states, "On June 8, 2005 the ITS publicly desecrated and ripped up an American flag on the street in New York City during a rally on 74th Street and 37th Avenue in the borough of Queens."

On February 17, 2006, sixteen days after the Ground Zero event, ITS protested Mohammad cartoons at the Danish consulate on 2nd Avenue and 48th Street in Manhattan, expressing cries of "We will kill you," and "Next time we will get all of NYC."

On April 20, 2006, the ITS appeared at the Israeli consulate on 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue in Manhattan, where they shouted, "The mushroom cloud is on its way! The real holocaust is on its way!"

The ITS heckled Americans at other events, like at Ahmadinejad's September 24, 2007, Columbia speech, where he said, "In Iran we don't have homosexuals, like in your country."

On June 6, 2010, two wannabe jihadists, Mahmood Alessa and Carlos Eduardo Almonte, were arrested on the way to join an al Qaeda group in Somalia. Alessa stated to an undercover agent that he was anxious to "shed blood." Almonte is the subject of a notorious photo where he holds a sign that says, "Death to All Juice." The two had attended an ITS rally just days earlier, on June 1, 2010, at the Israeli embassy, pictured here.

Samir Khan, an editor of al-Qaeda magazine Inspire, was formerly associated with ITS before he left for Yemen. Khan was killed in a drone strike while accompanying Anwar Al-Awlaki in 2011.

Proof of ITS February 1, 2006, appearance at Ground Zero is found on their website, www.islamicthinkers.com. They state:

"On Feb. 1, at the heart of Ground Zero near the World Trade Center, two brothers from Islamic Thinkers Society were there to show to the group of Anti-Islam demonstrators that Islam is here to dominate. The sharee'ah that they are so afraid of is coming to a community near them."
Wikipedia has a comprehensive list of ITS events around this time, but their appearance at Ground Zero is not listed. If it were not for the photo above, some people might not believe it happened at all.

What else has been whitewashed by the media?

There was much outrage from progressives after Donald Trump claimed to see "thousands and thousands of Muslims celebrating" 9/11 in New Jersey. While Trump may have exaggerated the numbers, the "celebration" aspect was widely acknowledged at that time. Terrorists and their sympathizers had been running rampant around the New York area for years.

This CBS 2 New York broadcast is one that many people remember seeing, but was brushed off as "rumor" until this bootleg recording of a VHS tape showed up.

The report shows police raiding apartments on 6 Tonnele Avenue in Jersey City, NJ, and arresting two suspects there. The suspects, Ayub Ali Khan and Mohammad Jaweed Azmath, were cleared of 9/11 involvement, but both were convicted of credit card fraud and immigration violations. The building was chock full of other suspicious characters. The superintendent claimed to have seen Mohammad Atta there.

The police also raided apartments two blocks away, at the Sevilla Grande apartments at 2801 JFK Blvd. According to the CBS report, the apartment was:

"Swarming with suspects. Suspects who I'm told were cheering on the roof when they saw the planes slam into the Trade Center. Police were called to the building by other neighbors and found eight men celebrating, six of them tenants in the building.

The FBI and other terrorist task force agencies then arrived and the older investigators on the task force recalled that they had been to this building before - eight years ago - when the first World Trade Center attack led them to Sheik Omar Abdul Rahman, whose Jersey City mosque lies between the two buildings getting attention today. And the older investigators remembered that suspects who eventually got convicted for the first Trade Center case - followers of Sheik Rahman - lived in the building where these same eight men were celebrating the destruction that they saw from the roof. Calling this a 'hot address,' the task force investigators ordered everyone detained.

They saw something else - a model of the Trade Center, on the roof, along with sets of binoculars, the kind of model used by an architect or an engineer for a presentation, an investigator told me. They knew, he said, that the planes were going to hit, and they wanted a ringside seat.

Remember - part of what motivates Osama Bin Laden against the United States, he has told followers, is that the United States put Sheik Rahman in jail. Bin Laden has said that for that, the U.S. must pay."

It is unclear who was arrested at 2801 JFK Blvd. on September 15, 2001, but in an odd coincidence, the final death toll of 9/11 stands at 2,801. What is not a coincidence is that Sheik Rahman's extremist mosque (Mas Jid al-Salam at 2822 JFK Blvd.) is between the two apartments.

Pablo Guzman, the CBS news anchor, is now downplaying the number of witnesses and celebrators he originally reported as fact, apparently not realizing that it only takes one witness and one celebrator for there to be a story. Insinuating that he exaggerated his report only hurts his own credibility. If so many media figures are denying what they originally reported, why should we trust anything that they say, ever?

If a tree falls in the forest...

An interesting fact about CBS 2 New York is that they were the only local news outlet to be able to broadcast out of New York after 9/11. One of their transmitter antennas was located on top of the Empire State Building, while all other news stations had their antennas on top of the World Trade Center (h/t American Rattlesnake 1, 2, 3.)

Perhaps this is why so many people remember this CBS report. Also, helicopter air traffic was grounded from the morning of 9/11 until September 28, 2001, preventing helicopter footage from being filmed by any news network. This is why there is no footage of the rooftop celebrations.

According to The Last Refuge, CBS denied that any footage of this sort existed, and The Last Refuge says that it is up to citizens to provide this evidence themselves, from their old videotape collections, since the media is denying their own broadcasts.

It wasn't until a popular republican started running for office that denials of radical Islamic protests took shape. The media is taking advantage of that time, when there were no camera phones or social media, to claim that certain events never happened.

If a tree falls in the forest, and no one hears it, does it make a sound? If Islamists celebrate 9/11, and it's not on YouTube, did it really happen? Perhaps if we could see the future, many of us would have carried around bulky, expensive video cameras, and kept up with VHS tapes for 14 years, just to avoid now being called liars.

Scrubbing the internet

Another media-whitewashing incident involves a NY Post editorial by Fred Siegel. On September 14, 2001, he wrote, "Here in New York, it was easy to get angry listening to Egyptians, Palestinians and the Arabs of nearby Paterson, N.J., celebrate as they received word of the murderous attacks in New York and Washington."

Private investigator Bill Warner discovered that Siegel's article was scrubbed from the NY Post website and is now only available through internet archives. The Wayback Machine shows that it was probably removed around November 15, 2001. Also published on Fox News on September 18, 2001, the article was removed from that website as well, sometime before 2012.

Siegel's article lends credence to the widespread knowledge that celebrations took place at that time. However, Siegel's credibility is in the process of being destroyed. The larger point of his article was to prevent discrimination against Muslims, which would typically make progressives happy. But since part of his article confirms that there were celebrations, his influence must be diminished.

However, what should be of real concern here is that the article was removed from two websites. Why was it removed?

More changing stories

On November 17, 2001, MTV aired a documentary called "Fight For Your Rights: Aftermath of Terror." In one segment with Curtis Sliwa, he interviews a caller who saw people celebrating in front of the library, at 930 South Main Street in Paterson, NJ. The documentary also follows a young woman who relates, in detail, the extent of the celebrating she saw:

"I look out here, and I see a lot of people. and they were just chanting and raving and I noticed they were holding things, they were holding like rocks and sticks and they were saying 'burn America' and you know all these things about America... Everyone that was out there, they were only 13 or 14 at most. They were kids. They didn't know what they were doing. But they had so much hate and they were doing that. It was just so sad. It was sad."
The witness, Emily Acevedo, was interviewed 14 years later and is now walking back what she said in the documentary:

"What I saw that night is not any different than what would have happened on any other summer night... These were kids acting out... I don't recall hearing them say 'burn America.' "

Oh yeah, she also says that Trump is a "privileged white male" (just so we know where she stands on the matter.) In the first interview, Acevedo seems concerned and shocked at the gathering of disrespectful kids. By the second interview, she appears jaded by an agenda.

MTV gleefully titles the 2015 update "Trump Is Wrong About People 'Cheering' 9/11 In New Jersey — We Dug Up The Video That Proves It", completely leaving out the fact that it was their own 2001 broadcast that they dug up, which originally helped disseminate the Paterson story.

The media has not asked Acevedo why she has changed her story over the years, but we are supposed to believe that Trump is definitely a liar. We should believe what Acevedo now claims she saw then, but not what Trump (a privileged white male) saw.

New Jersey saturated with extremists

A professor from New Jersey, Irfan Khawaja, is being paraded around as having the definitive debunking of the Paterson incident. He went to Paterson and talked to some people, but he believes the case is now closed.

Even Khawaja, with all of his research, doesn't deny that celebrations took place in front of the South Paterson library. One witness, a former parole officer, saw "an American flag hanging upside down." But Khawaja belittles the celebrations as only lasting "five or ten minutes" (as if this is any less troubling.)

In addition to the Jersey City suspects arrested in the CBS report, and the celebrators seen in front of the Paterson library, northern New Jersey was a hotbed. The New York Times said, "Simply, put, if the rubble of the World Trade Center is ground zero in America's war with terrorists, then New Jersey is its staging area."

- Thirteen of the hijackers lived in northern New Jersey;
- Some hijackers rented apartments on Union Avenue in Paterson;
- At least two hijackers purchased their plane tickets from a New Jersey library.
Khawaja downplays the Washington Post report of Muslims "allegedly seen celebrating on Jersey City rooftops." Because he could not get the Washington Post to expound on it, he insinuates that it must not have happened. The CBS video discussing this very incident must be troubling for Khawaja.

In the end of the interview, Khawaja claims to be completely neutral:

"I was a registered Republican. I am now a registered Democrat, but that's a decision I made about a month ago. I am not a believing Muslim. Honestly, I don't think I have any bias here."

What is a "non-believing Muslim"?

He concludes with, "Trump's claims are blatant, obvious lies. There is nothing more to be said about them."

That's it, folks. Just like with global warming, the science is settled and no other opinions are allowed. This guy sounds totally impartial, especially for a brand-new Democrat.

Khawaja is a scholar with a large collection of writings available online.

In one article, Khawaja compares al Qaeda to the American Confederacy (September 6, 2004). Interestingly, Khawaja alludes to here, with credence, the same Washington Post article that he later rejects in his 2015 definitive celebration rebuttal. Here is an excerpt:

"Let me emphasize, as I have on previous occasions, that these celebrants were a tiny, tiny minority even of the Muslims of Jersey City, and that by far the majority of rumors about Muslim American celebrations of 9/11 have been false and malicious hoaxes. But the fact remains that if the Jersey City PD and Washington Post are to be believed, those handful of Muslims did celebrate 9/11, and if they are a minority, so are Confederates. If the National Park Service can placate the Confederates, why not placate Muslim American celebrants of 9/11 to the following tune?"
This was written at the time that Khawaja was supposedly still a Republican.

Other authors, linked to Khawaja, have treated the celebration incidents as nothing more than urban legend, but don't provide any evidence that they didn't happen.

International celebrating

The international response to 9/11, even among self-proclaimed "moderate Muslims," was troubling. Here is a video clip of Muslims calling into a West Midlands, UK, BBC radio show on September 13, 2001. Both callers suggest that the U.S. got what it deserved:

• "That society has killed so many people, it's unbelievable. They've been killing Iraqi babies. I'm a Muslim, I'm not extremist, I practice my religion, and I believe whatever has been done is wrong. A lot of innocent people have lost their life. But at the same time, America should consider what they've done in Iraq."

• "America's got a taste of it's own medicine. I do think that. What about all the Muslims in Afghanistan and Bosnia? I don't see people feeling sorry for that. They were innocent people as well. I'm not saying what happened is right, they were innocent people as well, but you've got to look at all the Muslims."
Perhaps this terrorist-sympathizing could be described as "celebratory" among Americans.

Here is a BBC clip of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, followed by the infamous Jerusalem candy parade. The narrator says, "For some, though, in the Middle East, American suffering has been a time for jubilation."

This CNN news report called "Why America is Hated," strives to help Americans understand what they did to rile up such anger, a.k.a. Victim Blaming, with more clips of the candy parade.

Was Trump right?

While Donald Trump was likely exaggerating the number of Muslims celebrating at one event, it doesn't change the fact that 9/11 celebrating happened, people saw it, and police investigated. Even one celebrator is one too many. However, the combined stories indicate that altogether there was much more than one.

A former FBI agent states that he received "stacks and stacks" of complaints about Muslims celebrating. (By the way, defenders of Islamic Thinkers Society call stomping of the flag "free speech," but so is "celebrating from the rooftops." Why would progressives be concerned about debunking the latter, but not the former?)

Let's analyze the larger point that Trump was trying to make. Does it matter if there was a thousand sympathizers, or a dozen? Does it matter if it was in Pakistan, or Paterson? Islamic extremists are already here, and more are on the way.

This recent study finds that dozens of ISIS-related crimes have been charged all over the US - 71 in the past year - a record high.

It doesn't matter if there are only one of them (like at Fort Hood or Oklahoma), or two of them (like in Boston or San Bernardino), and it doesn't matter if there's an easily-crossable border in between. Numbers and borders mean nothing to a jihadist.

None of the above examples equate to "thousands" of Muslims celebrating at once, but as a whole, they certainly support Trump's claim that he saw Muslims celebrating 9/11. Anyone who denies this, after looking at the evidence, is being dishonest.

When Islamic extremists celebrate attacks on America and the media covers it up, can they make Donald Trump look like a liar?

Comrade Olga Photoshopova,

May Allah (or the Ghost of Lenin) bless you. You have taught us all valuable lesson in deceiving the masses (for their own good).

The capitalist scum always uses facts, numbers, dates, or details to augment their hateful ideas. But facts, numbers, dates and details can never be expressed with perfect exactness. Their inexact words present opportunity for our birds of socialist paradise to peck at the eyes of the capitalist vermin. With a million beaks we will squawk and caterwaul with ferocity until we drown out the evil voice of reason.

If they give a number, squabble that the number could be maybe higher, maybe lower.
If they give a date, demand that they cite a source that has never made a date error.
If they give a color, bicker with them about the shade of color.
If they give detail, demand video. If they give video, argue about editing. If they provide unedited video, argue about camera angle.
The list of details subject to scrutiny are endless: Temperature, spelling, size, kemical formula, geography, geometry, geology, etc. ... it doesn't matter which detail you choose to peck at, just keep pecking.

A party member's goal must be to stop the capitalist oppressor's point from being made to the masses. This is all more important if exactness of detail makes no difference to overall point. In those cases, most of all, we must peck and peck and peck.

Then, after you have successfully squelched the voice of the evil capitalist and shielded our glorious workers, proud slaves, and able apparatchiks from the menace of truth, it is important to always refer to the capitalist's words as "controversial", "now debunked", "disproved by experts", or "conspiracy theory." And always remember, comrade, no matter how true, you must always remind your audience that "all acceptable authorities agree with me."

Comrade Olga, the edukation you have provided has been invaluable. May the spirit of Pol Pot walk with you for all your days!

If they give a color, bicker with them about the shade of color.
Comrade, bravo for this idea. Progressives should always be evolving in their search for new techniques to belittle conservative claims. Bickering about shades of color is another useful bit of minutiae that will surely confound and confuse conservatives until they forget what their point was and lose the argument. It will assist to further ruin conservatives' credibility.

For example, if a conservative says "red," you can say "No, it's a glorious deep crimson-magenta, and you're a liar." If a conservative says "black" you can say "That's actually fifty shades of gray and you're a racist."

I am hard-pressed to elaborate on it, but, I am giving it some thought. You cover so much territory. Thank you.

Yeah, seems Trump was right. Yes it does. So, where do we go from here?

To me, this pretty much sums it all up.

Give Up Your Guns? Drudge Takes on DHS: “You Go First!”

David Limbaugh on Trump - not Rush.

David Limbaugh is Rush's younger brother. He's got a law degree and a poli-sci degree. Has been a professor, is an author, has served in political capacities, and is regarded as an expert in law and politics. The man is an extremely articulate and eloquent wordsmith with what appears to be a superlative talent for framing his arguments in visceral terms. His discussion below pretty much puts America's political scene, as being impacted by Trump, into crystal clear focus.

The Establishment birthed Trump!

Much of the establishment's criticism of Donald Trump comes from its failure to comprehend the reasons for his soaring popularity. Establishment types seem untroubled by the problems facing America, so they can't understand the urgency that fathered Trump's rise. Minor adjustments to the Hindenburg's dining room menu just aren't going to get it.

Their overwrought analysis, their hand-wringing and their contemptuousness for Trump betray a disdain not only for Trump but for Americans who recognize the gravity of America's predicament -- and who, in desperation, have turned to Trump for bold action.

It's hard to overstate Americans' concern for the state of the nation. Horrified by President Obama's Sherman-esque march through America, they are tired of hearing that nothing can be done. They are through with empty promises from establishment politicians.

People are tired of Obama's pitting blacks against whites, women against men, gays against heterosexuals, rich against poor, non-taxpayers against taxpayers, citizens against cops and his Muslims against Christians. They can no longer stomach Obama's apologizing for America and excusing terrorists while rushing to attack Christians at every turn.

People are sick of being called racists for things that happened in this country before they were born or before they could vote, for opposing Obama's destructive agenda, or for simply being Republicans. They abhor the war on cops orchestrated by racial hucksters and pandering politicians. They are incredulous that any president would deliberately engineer America's decline and degrade our military. They are tired of the nation's chief executive officer's flouting laws and thwarting the people's will.

Americans are sick of Obama's trashing America's founding, assaulting capitalism, and bellowing about man-made global warming as a pretense to impose more liberty-smothering regulations. They are nauseated by politicians who are more interested in bipartisanship with scofflaws than with saving the nation.

People are mortified by the nation's fiscal instability, its unbridled national debt, its spiraling entitlements and Washington's refusal to address them. They are sick of the fraudulent spending "cuts." They have had their fill of the lies, especially about Obamacare, whose costs dwarf Obama's promised projections and are getting worse by the day. They've reached their limit with this administration's rewarding unemployment and laziness while punishing work, its honoring socialism and demonizing capitalism.

People are sick of politically correct bullies. They are exhausted by lectures about not paying their fair share when half the income earners don't pay income taxes. They are fed up with lies about decreasing unemployment rates when tens of millions have dropped out of the workforce.
Every other week, we face a new existential threat to the nation -- threats perpetrated or enabled by Obama and the Washington establishment. But the establishment meets these perils with barely disguised indifference. Islamic terrorism is overrunning the Middle East and has reached our mainland, and Obama doesn't dare whisper its name. Obama refuses to enforce the borders; he orders his administration not to enforce immigration laws; he lawlessly grants amnesty to millions of immigrants who are here illegally; and he and his party set up sanctuary cities that harbor criminal immigrants.

Last year, we faced an invasion from Central America; now, in the name of compassion, we are inviting in Syrian refugees -- some 72 percent of whom are, curiously, men. Are we afraid to wonder aloud whether those who sidestep the legal immigration process will embrace the American idea.? Whether they will end up on the welfare rolls?

With Congress' help, Obama bypassed the Constitution's treaty clause and entered into a reckless, non-verifiable nuke deal with Iran and will give the Iranians a $150 billion signing bonus to fund terrorism and build ballistic missiles.

So where does that leave us?

People have heard one too many times that the Republican Party, if it regains control, will turn things around. Republicans have been so timid in opposing Obama's agenda that many have quit believing they'll reverse this madness if they acquire full control.

Along comes Trump, who gives voice to these legitimate grievances instead of calling people racist, selfish or hysterical. He emphasizes the urgency of these problems, and he denounces the status quo, the establishment, Washington inertia and political correctness without an ounce of apology.

People are dehydrated, and he's their Gatorade®. Whether Trump could or would deliver on his promises is one thing, but the establishment's arrogant failure to acknowledge, let alone decry the horror of, the status quo is his lifeblood. If Trump is a monster, the establishment is Dr. Frankenstein, so please spare us the lectures.

Here's a good one from an "eloquent" well-manicured Islamist babe at LAX. She says it like it is!

In a bizarre series of events that took place outside a terminal of the Los Angeles International airport on June 14, a Muslim woman dressed in Islamic garb was recorded threatening to bomb America and declaring Allah as the god of all gods.

Cameraman Tony Vera witnessed police questioning the woman at the airport and searching her luggage, but finding nothing wrong, they released her and let her continue on to the terminal.
Vera stopped the woman to ask a few questions and in return received a lecture on religion and history.

Islam bitch.jpg

“F*** America,” the woman said. “I will make sure we bomb America. You wait and see!”

After another six minutes of rants about the supremacy of Islam over other religions and expressed anger towards Donald Trump, the woman calmly walked into the airport headed for an Asia bound airliner.

Apparently, after being in the airport for two hours, police detained the woman and escorted her from the premises.

"You will see," she said while being taken away.

I only hope that there are no other Muslims in the world who feel the same way she does about America. Chances are pretty slim as well as their sycophant Progressives who claim to love "the little guy." Yeah, as long as the little guy stays littler than me. That's the real fight! And yeah, that's the ticket!

Yeah. Good luck with that. I do have darling Muslim friends who fled Iraq and are wonderful citizens here. They enjoy and take part in our freedoms by participating and giving back to us. I do not doubt our friendship. They have become very successful American citizens. They love America and are making money and giving back.
