Amends for Hiroshima: Congress To Bomb Two U.S. Cities

User avatar

In a belated expression of remorse for the nuclear strikes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki sixty years ago, Congress has authorized the Army to launch apologetic nuclear strikes on two American cities. The selection of cities is not final, but they will most likely be Dallas and Houston in a nod to the Democratic desire to attack cities in a "red" state.

Former President and legendary humanitarian Jimmy Carter explained, "While sitting next to my good friend Michael Moore at the Democratic National Convention, he reminded me of his words about 9/11: 'If someone did this to get back at Bush, then they did so by killing thousands of people who DID NOT VOTE for him!' So, it only seemed natural to make amends for Hiroshima and to equalize the 9/11 impact by recommending a strike against two cities in Texas.

"I know from my experience in working with Iran that the United States provokes other nations. And we in fact provoked Japan into WWII -- and despite their repeated willingness to cease hostilities, we firebombed Tokyo, killed their suicide pilots, prevented them from violently occupying all of Asia, got angry when they tortured and killed thousands of our troops, accused them of collaborating with Nazis, and finally, without any reason, gratuitously dropped nuclear weapons on them.

The legislation's sponsor, Representative John Conyers of Michigan, pointed out that The White Man's Bomb was an affront to every sense of racial harmony -- and that it would have been a violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. He added, "Instead of dropping bombs, we should have extended a concerned hand towards Japan and asked them, 'Why do you hate us?'" So now, sixty years later, we ask, "Can you forgive us?" And is there any other way to ask forgiveness than to incinerate two of our own cities?

Those capitalists pigs - why they must shoe the height technology always. They think they are so smart. Well. Uncle Iosip - now when he wished to remove many uncooperated kulaks - why no massive destroy bomb was then needed. No. Uncle Iosip just taken food from each mouth. After seven days - they go away. No big muchroom cloud - raining down radioactive dogs and cats. No big ball of fire knocking down every useful buildings. Ok, ok. Smell of kulaks lying everywhere in fields - get to be something bad -yes. But no big hole in earth -so nosey jurnalisty can find. Why look at Comrade Duranty - he never saw a thing - we just drive him round and round city and filling his vodka cup all day long. Every capitalists in USA beliefs all things which written in big agitprop organ of New York Sity. This is the way to clean up nasty problem. Not use bombs. Is not policy korektnoss! You see.

Comrade KGB
Why not do in the entire USA, those filthy capitalist pigs.

It's a sad part of our legacy as a nation that we used atomic weapons on two Japanese cities. Truman was a good man who made a bad decision. Many of us in the military were stunned by the news. We'd been looking forward to something much different. It would have been so much better if we'd invaded Japan and wiped out every last one of those Nips.

I am comrade Russian Advisor lost in jungles of Vietnam in 1968. Why not hide bombs in perverted city of New York. You can hide bomb in large building called World Trade Center. They will never find bomb in such large building.

Hey, my sister lives in Seattle.

As long as we can lobby for cities to be Las Vegas and Seattle, well, you can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs.

It is important to celebrate Hiroshima Day every year as the most convenient and inexpensive way to instill guilt into Americans for their past, present and future. The Party has already made them guilty enough to elect Barack Obama. Now Americans must be made to keep their heads down in shame at all times, in order not to notice what Party operatives are doing to their country. And there still are plenty of scoundrels out there who need to be shamed into submission yet!

Therefore, once the wrongness of Hiroshima bombing has been established by a scientific consensus, we must continue to rub it into their faces every year by celebrating this day of infamy with articles like this one below, published at https://www.ThePeoplesVoice.org:

Whitewashing Hiroshima: The Uncritical Glorification of American Militarism

Propaganda artist Gary G. Kohls, MD wrote:Back in 1995, the Smithsonian was preparing an honest, historically-accurate display dealing with the 50th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Amid much right-wing reactionary wrangling, from various ultrapatriotic veterans groups all the way up to the Newt Gingrich/GOP-dominated Congress, the Smithsonian was forced to eliminate all of the painful but historically important parts of the story - the Japanese civilian perspective. So again we had another example of powerful politically conservative groups influencing public policy - and history - because they couldn't handle what was necessary to face up to unpleasant historical truths.

Yep. It woulda been a LOT better to take a million US KIA in a physical invasion of Japan. Even better, that pysical invasion was proijected to inflict over six million KIA on the Japanese. But these ultrapatriot bastards instead chose to settle for killing a measly 250,000 tops with two bombs and no US casualties. It was just so unfair.

User avatar
OK, Lieutenants.

As an un-proud citizen of The People's Republic of Houston I think its about time that the apology bomb hit our dear land. This city is nowhere near progressive enough. Too many people in this city are independent and enjoy their individualism. "The People's" have little regard for the collective and perhaps a good apology bomb will wake them up to the brutal atrocities our evil nation participated in when it decided to spare a hundred thousand US soldiers lives just to end the war in the Pacific ASAP. Its about time these gun-toting "cowboys" in The Lone Star Statist come to grips to their violent past.

El Presidente says........lay the guilt on me.

No, Betinov. NO!

People like to sneer that the alternative to nuking Japan was an invasion similar to Overlord, which would've resulted in zillions more casualties, but that's not the answer, either.

Anything that results in more casualties is never the answer--simply because WAR is never the answer.

We never tried to talk to the Japanese! Never tried to understand them! If only FDR could've discussed all of this with MacArthur and Hirohito over a beer.

And as for the whole WWII thing--from soup to nuts it was nothing but a big right wing fascist plot to discredit FDR's New Deal while promoting the glories of war so naysayers could naysay, "It wasn't the New Deal that got us out of the Depression--it was the war!" And now they're using that to try and discredit Obama.

That said, I totally agree that Houston and Dallas are the ideal targets for making amends. That Houston was the city selected for a "test nuke" by the Earthlings in the movie Independence Day was not some random willy-nilly decision based on the drawing of straws or everybody putting their foot in for a round of "Butter butter in the bowl, how old are you?" to determine who will be "It."

In the meantime, I shall await Obama's apology to Japan.

My only concern is the usual concern of every good Progressive, as well as that of the POTUS in ID4: Never mind the mass extermination of the human race by extraterrestrial aggression--dare we hope our children's children might ever forgive us for those nuclear strikes?

How about Phoenix? My "weak liberal" sister lives there. Or maybe we could sell NoKo a longer range missile? It would be swell to be a "victim of relativity." Maybe Obama would send me a check, like the family members got after 9-11.

Pinkie, Pinkie, Pinkie...you are behind the curve, darling. War is of course an evil, despicable, capitalist ploy to discredit Progressive policies UNLESS it is war waged by Progressive regimes. Notice, if you can be pried away from your now outdated pacifism, how the American military presence in Iraq is never mentioned in the Progressive Press. Observe, if you can, that the evil, Rethuglican War of Christian Oppression being waged against the peace-loving women and children of Afghanistan is now suddenly A-Okay in the ProgPress for the simple reason that it has been endorsed by His Obamaness.

It is all a matter of Progspective.

User avatar
Betinov, Progressives do not do wars, they do peacekeeping missions and engage in strong diplomacy. We are now in Iraq and Afghanistan trying to clean up the infernal mess that Bush and his cronies created. Unfortunately, the mess he made is so messy, that cleaning it up may take years as well as many lives yet.

User avatar
Perhaps you are correct, Pinkie. The White House has just announced that the War on Terror is over.

Great point, Commissarka. I forgot the H-Town was also targeted by the progressive alien in the film.

Here the vile Bill Whittle actually takes the dear propagandist news anchor Jon Stewart to task. It is almost too unbearable to read. (from pajamas media via eject eject eject)

WHOA, be right back.... Please try the link, the C&P would have resulted in another spanking. (And you can have too much of a good thing.)

Comrades,

The obviously progressive mayor of Hiroshima on the memorial day said:
"Together, we can abolish nuclear weapons. Yes, we can."
He also coined the word "Obamajority."

The 9th will be Nagasaki's memorial ceremony.

Because, like Elvis (see video below), 0bama is everywhere, he hasn't attended either event.

Dear Leader Illn',

You gotta watch out for ol' Bill Clinton. He is a notorious practical joker!!! What the PRC found out later was that Bill got the guidance system from the prototype Hildo Hydra 3.6alpha and put that into the missiles he sold them. Imagine the laughs the PLA had when they conducted their first test firing of the copy they made! It Hillarious!

Yup and Michael Jackson stopped it single-handedly just before passing on to that great Karaoke in the sky. Funny thing is, if it is really over how come all these troops are in Iraq & Afghanistan ? I suppose they are there to refresh their tans and get in a little target practice.
You did know that Michael is dead ?
