Defense News is reporting that the plane that crashed was participating in Tuesday's military parade in Tehran, and that it was Iran's one and only AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System).

Iran's sole Simorgh AWACS aircraft was lost during a military parade Sept. 22, one of two Iranian military aircraft that crashed in Tehran while participating in a display to mark the anniversary of the start of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq War.

At first, I thought how ironic that this would occur right before Dear Leader Obama and his pal, the kindly avuncular Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would be making appearances at the UN on behalf of peace and brotherhood. But then, I read this:

Dubbed "Simorgh" (a flying creature of Iranian fable which performs wonders in mid-flight), the AWACS' appearance, escorted by fighter jets, was to have been the climax for the Iranian Air force's fly-past over the parade. Instead, it collided with one of escorting planes, a US-made F-5E, and both crashed to the ground in flames. All seven crewmen were killed.

Eye witnesses reported that the flaming planes landed on the mausoleum burial site of the Islamic revolution's founder Ruhollah Khomeini, a national shrine. According to Western observers, no distress signals came from either cockpit indicating that the collision and explosions were sudden and fast.

Suddenly, it became clear to me what was occurring. Did you spot it, comrades? "it collided with one of escorting planes, a US-made F-5E, and both crashed to the ground in flames." This is nothing more than a thinly-disguised plot against world peace. Who is to blame? The usual suspects: US!

Amerikkan Racism rears its ugly head yet again! Some number of years ago, we sold a clearly defective plane to a poor third world nation in an obvious plot to destroy its only AWACS, leaving their peaceful nuclear program vulnerable to an attack by their enemy, the vile aggressive "Juice"! And, to add insult to injury, the planes crashed on a national shrine in the helpless victim country.

It sickens me that this kind of thing could still be taking place and destroying our chances for hope and change. I hope the MSM will investigate this incident thoroughly and find the guilty parties: George W. Bush and Karl Rove!

That is quite a socially just explanation, Commissar Elliot. Hmmm, yes, Obama's light shines so brightly, it can fry an AWAC! This may provide the momentum needed to force the Congress into passing his hope and change agenda. I can just hear Nanski Peloski waxing eloquent on the House floor: "So what if he is adding trillions to the defecit, Obama is so brilliant he can fry an AWAC!" No arguing with logic like that.

You COULD argue said logic, but then we'd just send the thoughtpolice on that crazy capitalist.
