More research? Don't be unscientific!

Wonderful news! Comrade Michael Mann has declared that we no longer need climate data. Now Dr. Mann is free to help grow beets.

Michael Mann, scientist: Data ‘increasingly unnecessary' because ‘we can see climate change'

Is he out of his beet-pickin' mind? While it's true the debate has been over for some time and you can't really look anywhere without seeing evidence of climate change, we still need data.

Saying, "We don't need any more data," is the same thing as saying, "We don't need any more government funding."

Just typing that sentence makes me feel dirty and sick and in dire need of a safe space--especially since every time someone says or writes it, a polar bear dies.

That alone is why we still need data.

That right there is why the government should not only continue to provide funding for climate data, but should increase it!

Pinkie is right korrekt. The lack of data can only be caused by not enough government funding.

Therefore:

Ask not what data supports the growth of big government, ask what big government must pay to generate the data.

Wouldn't establishing government grant programs whose sole purpose is to explore whether or not more data is needed fill the void?

Interesting proposal, I propose that we form a house subcommittee to explore the possibility of enacting this proposal.

• Raise taxes to fund your solution
• Wear the Right Colored Ribbon®
• Collude with other like-minded scientists to ensure Conformity of Thought®
• Sue anyone who challenges your methods.
• Ostracize any scientist who doesn't conform to your Thought Consensus®
