The Order of Republican Moderation

User avatar
Image
The recent election has left the GOP sharply divided. As caring and compassionate progressives, it is our duty to help their two fighting factions destroy each other as soon as possible. When the Republicans were in power we successfully manipulated their infighting with our planned long-term strategy. But now that the GOP is in shambles, we must quickly find a way to manipulate their rebuilding effort, making sure that the Moderate Republicans prevail over the Extreme Republicans. Once all conservatives are removed, the GOP will be nothing more than a puppet, kept only for the appearance of a two-party system.

Image Sen. Edward Kennedy: Rockefeller Republicans are perfect useful idiots. Like us, they have no principles and only care about power. Unlike us they are weak and spineless.

Image Sen. Charles Schumer:
Once all conservatives are removed, the Republican Party will be nothing more than a puppet, kept only for the appearance of a two-party system.

Image Rep. Nancy Pelosi:
The convergence of progressive forces is now complete. Next year will be devoted to the laborious task of stripping the Americans of their old values, which was the source of their powers. No longer will they be able to oppose Change!

Image Sen. Harry Reid:
Now that Obama has won, many of you would like to take a deserved R&R. But this is no time to rest. We must jump at this once-in-a- lifetime opportunity and achieve a total eradication of conservatism in America.

Image Commissar Maksim:
For years we have gained power with promises of free stuff, and when the unwashed had the audacity to demand it from us, we subdued them with trinkets, glass beads, and small pox blankets. So the "Order of Moderation" is relatively quite nice.

Image
To this end The Peoples Cube presents the "Order of Republican Moderation" as a reward to those Moderate Republicans who show courage and bravery in ridding the world of conservatism, in the following categories:
  • Compassionate Backstabbers
  • Resolute Compromisers
  • Righteous Quitters
  • Reliable Deserters
  • Rugged Wimps
Image
The first recipients of the "Order of Republican Moderation" are the nameless McCain campaign staffers who tried to damage Governor Palin's credentials, lending the mainstream media a hand in their battle against resurging conservatism. Progressive communities all over the world applaud their treachery and deceit. We haven't seen such brilliant scheming since the Clinton administration. Whoever they are, we predict a bright future for them in the coming Era of Obama.

Image
The next award goes to Moderate Republican columnists Kathleen Parker and Peggy Noonan, both of whom trashed Sarah Palin in print at key moments in the campaign. Parker and Noonan are hereby invited to all the Beltway cocktail parties in the coming four to eight years, and have their seats reserved at Obama's presidential inauguration. They would do well to start shopping immediately at Saks and Neiman-Marcus for dresses and pant suits that compliment their new shiny "Order of Republican Moderation" medals.

The list of other Moderate Republican nominees who bravely fought on the side of socialist planning and wealth redistribution can be found on this subsidiary of the People's Cube: RepublicansForObama.org.

If you hear of other Republicans who are battling against the reactionary individual rights and private property, let us know and we will add them to the list.

Image

From the People's Glossary:

Image
Moderate Republicans
Like all good progressives, Moderate Republicans accept the historical inevitability of socialist victory over capitalism, only they prefer the change to come in small, orderly steps, hoping to retain access to the public trough when the world plunges into the normalcy of collectivism. In other words, Moderate Republicans reject the dogma of "the fierce urgency of now" - a mild heresy inside the broader progressive movement; nothing we can't eradicate once our power is absolute.

Image
Extreme Republicans
Bitter extremists who reject the notion that the future belongs to socialist governments that will redistribute wealth to the unwashed, sacrificing the successful on the altar of the Common Good. Despite all the evidence provided by progressive journalism, academia, and Hollywood, these scoundrels cling to an old-fashioned belief that individual liberties and capitalism are somehow the only way to grow wealth, increase productivity, and eliminate hunger, diseases, and wars. They must be discredited and discarded.

Excellent.. it's only a matter of time before they rip each other apart. although since the extremists are war mongers, wouldnt they be more likely to win?

Comrades, this is an excellent idea.

I beleive that many of the moderates serve betters as useful idiots because many of them don't realize the true goal. They actually think the ideas are for the betterment of society, rather than to help progress towards the inevitable triumph of world Marxism and the collective will.

After all, true believers like Comrade Gore come uncomfortably close to blowing the entire game when they talk about things like "collectively intelligent decisions".

However, comrades, I also propose, hand in hand, that while we welcome such disharmony within the camp of the capitalist running dog oppressors, we must purify the brand of socialism on our own side.

I must admit I am troubled somewhat that perhaps even our great Obamassiah may not be ideologically pure enough. To me, he talks like a Neo-Marxist, a kinder, gentler, Marxist.

Is Stalin not good enough for him? Is he ashamed of our glorious past? This Neo-Marxist should be watched closely.

I know if MY plans for world domination had reached fruition before his ascension to power, I would have had no qualms at calling a gulag a gulag. Harmony Settlement just does not have the same ring to it.

But I do admit - I would have hired the same chief of staff that he selected. Perhaps that shows his true wisdom.

Da GOP equals Back Stabbing. Excellent Party Tactics.

This is truly a great honor to bestow. No true Lifelong Republican can resist a medal. And thank you for publishing the Republicans For Obama.org website link. As you can see from reading the RepublicansForObama: About page, a grassroots group of Lifelong Republicans from around the country who didn't even know each other got together before Obama became known to most of the country and dedicated the rest of their lives to everything Obama!

There have been rumors that there are some Republicans posing as Democrats, moles in the ranks, in the attempt to undermine the Democratic Party by pretending to betray everything Democrats believe in. Be on the lookout! Now is the time for unity. Obama knows no Party. The country needs to pull together as one organic whole.

User avatar
Comrades,

Indeed there is no need to attack the so-called "right-wingers" as they no longer exist. Government spending continues to rise (as well it should) independent of the party in control. That is all we need friends. Next we socialize healthcare and suck the remainder of disposable income into the Mother Country's coffers and the job is done.

Good job Senator McCain, by the way! A campaign that the NY Times found both worthy and efficient. We salute you for McCain-Feingold, pushing the Global Warming cause, and undermining your own candidacy and running mate!

User avatar
But of course. Why did I not think of this? Taking out the Republican fascist Nazis from the inside. I shall aid in the glorious effort by switching parties immediately.

User avatar
Oh boy! I guess this means we're going to get to see a Republican purge!

Ironic that someone steals an idea from Comrade Plagiarism.

But then again, plagiarism is such a regressive idea. Who is to say who owns what words, or what combination of words. or what books? I mean, who besides the Party, of course.

Da. All is the Party and we must remember the Fairness Doctrine.

User avatar
Da! It is of course Fair that the masses be protected from confusing ideas that may come from those who express the wrong opinions.

Just like it the purest expression of worker freedom is the abolition of the secret ballot. That secret made it difficult to tell which workers were clinging to incorrect ideas and were in need of re-education. The Employee Free Choice act will be one of the Party's greatest gifts to the workers.

Imagine, the workers, freed from the confusing voices of discord that speak out against The Party, and freed from the burden of the secret guilt they would otherwise bear at voting against the people's union!

A worker's paradise is forming here before our eyes.

It appears that the term "moderate Republican" is an oxymoron, very similar to the phrase "right wing democrat. Perhaps the award could be called the "Order of the Lennon Sisters". This would allow so called "moderate Republicans" to be honored when their political panties bunch up on them. (also known as the intellectual wedgie) Just a thought!

And still the headlines just keep rolling in. Comrades, I'm so glad that our new glorious has so much experience in government that he allows the contents of secret meetings to leak to the press within minutes. This bodes so very well for future secret meetings; such as military meetings or dealing with foreign ministers. How exciting! (pass me another Valium, I feel another warp spasm coming on.)

Ah Comrades! One must also look to the New Majority for possible backstabbing of The New Truth.

Once the New Voters see that the Spreading Of The Wealth doesn't mean writing Obamasan for money which will then fly forth immediately to fund hobbies including satellite TV, iphones with all accoutrements, fast food, gambling and video games, in addition to buying them houses, the masses may revolt. It may take longer for The New Majority to realize their dreams and they will be very unhappy.

Even though all firearms are in the hands of The One and his friends, with the entire Armed Forces disbanded, we may have to defend ourselves.

When they march on Washington, we must be prepared to meet with them without preconditions. We will summit and hope they don't kill us.

Greetings, fellow red-enthuiasts!!! I have retired after a day in the killing fields to see a most glorious post! Moderates will end the Republican Party for good, thus furthering my cause: the "liquidation" of those who do not follow the Mother Land's wishes. Nice to be a member at last (as I have been practicing good socialist values and reaping the benefits without actually inputting my means! hehehe!).

Moderate Republicans join the Cause! This will make great "news" about our bipartisanship.

Did anybody notice Nancy Pelosi's speech on election night, in which she used the word "bipartisan" at least three times? Only one day before she called for the removal of the unreliable Joe Lieberman.

This is the true essence of bipartisanship, comrades. Republicans who wish to ally themselves with us may do so. Democrats will stay democrats or else. Like everything else of value, it only goes one way.

User avatar
Comrades! **cough** ** cough** This from MSNBC:

MSNBC First Read wrote:*** Traditionalists vs. reformers: All the attention on Palin comes as David Brooks today writes about a divide in the Republican Party between Traditionalists (many of whom champion Palin) versus the Reformers (who want a more inclusive, modern, and moderate GOP). Brooks argues that -- at least in the short term -- the Traditionalists are going to win. “There is not yet an effective Republican Leadership Council to nurture modernizing conservative ideas. There is no moderate Club for Growth, supporting centrist Republicans… Reformist Republican donors don't seem to exist. Any publication or think tank that headed in an explicitly reformist direction would be pummeled by its financial backers. National candidates who begin with reformist records — Giuliani, Romney or McCain — immediately tack right to be acceptable to the power base.” By the way, NBC's Ana Maria Arumi crunched exit poll numbers on Palin for David Gregory's “1600” on MSNBC. The results: The voters who found her to be qualified to be president were Republicans (74%), from the South (45%), and from rural areas (45%). She greatly underperformed among college grads (35%), independents (35%), and in the suburbs (40%).

User avatar
Comrade Leader Kim,

Thank you for sharing that. It is a good thing that in America , reform always means becoming more leftist, Da?

I should mention you are my favorite Korean champion of the People. The satellite pictures of the inky blanket of darkness that covers your nation at night are an inspiration to all of us who long to crush the capitalist running dogs under our heel.

What better proof is there that our policies of redistribution and punishing the wealthy are the most just and lead to the greatest equality? When production is zero, then everyone shall be absolutely equal.

You missed Comrade Bayh's glorious instruction on FauxNews that the past is now the past and it is time for a new (Glorious) beginning. Rahm Emanuel's violent outbursts (driven, of course, by a suitable zeal for the objectives of the Party) are in the past and thus to be forgotten.

Left out of this Purge of the Past, of course, is that filthy thoughtcriminal and traitor to the Party, Lieberman. Past is only Purged if one earns it through suitable excessive pursuit of the Party's aims.

Dear Che... Gourmet....

I am feeling a little better, though do you mean from biting my tongue accidentally, from Meow's having spiked his cognic with ketamine again (when will I ever learn?), or the pneumonia?... all are slightly better but as always, it takes me forever to get rid of things. Immunosuppressant medications are bizarrely literal compared to much of the world, and the immutable logic that if one lowers their white count on purpose, one will invariable have no immune system to fight off things like respiratory infections, means things are a tad precarious until I know for sure that it's gone... it's not yet, but I'm on a remarkable amount of antibiotics and eventually something will kill it. Not being in the hospital this round is a pleasant alternative. I cannot understand what Meow sees in nurses - they are mean, mean people who are forever waking you just when you've fallen asleep to check supposedly vital things that are all on monitors anyway, and they don't let you administer your own pain meds, the bitc... oh never mind. But I've had to stop doing the shots that control my arthritis until this bug is gone, and so hopefully my immune system will rally shortly. I'm actually looking forward to restarting the immunosuppressants because aside from my obvious dislike of arthritis, I managed to develop eye inflammation a week or so before I got sick and it would be nice to be able to see properly again.

Thank you for the kind offer of soup... The Party can never have enough soup, though I have a fridge full. I have to eat at least once a day when I take this ridiculous handful of Levaquin so my stomach doesn't decide to leave home, and soup is an easy way to fool it into thinking I've actually eaten, something I never want to do when I'm sick, but it's a great diet. Much much better than the gulag. And it's not as hard as the hospital was... I figured out about a week before I finally got out last time that oxygen actually has a smell and it makes food taste strange and so even harder to eat. So it's definitely easier at home, and of course, the cat is much much happier as well.

It is only annoying that after months away from home I finally manage to move back to my apartment and get sick again right away. On the other had, any excuse to read, watch DVD's and nap all day will not ever go amiss. There is good and bad in everything... Except Obama, of course. I'm sure if I could share the same air as the Cloud Whisperer, the air itself would cure me.... of everything...

So thank you for your kind offer of tasty Che Gourmet soup. I will certainly let you know if I am concerned about my mother giving up her full-time chicken soup production operation any time within a month of me having gotten over this. Until then, I am receiving it by IV.

yummy...

Sounds like you've been going through the bowels of hell. Sorry that it's taking so long to recover. Are you sure it isn't something in your apartment that's making you ill? I am afflicted with arthritus too, though it's not debilitating, yet, and I do try to stay active, (that's important). So far, I can still fully function. The pain is hard to comprehend for someone that doesn't experience it for themselves. The cure is sometimes worse than the symptoms. I wish you all haste in your recovery and look forward to your contributions to the Cube.

"To send men to the firing squad judicial proof is necessary. Those procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail."

User avatar
Che,

I DID know that, as my guy J is Argentine...

Yes... it is painful sometimes, which is where I get my name from... unfortunately, five years on methotrexate, that lovely chemo drug they use in 'small doses' as an immunosuppressant, left me with a little surprise that they only found when they did x-rays and doppler thingies and cat scans to when I had pneumonia in January... I have fractures in my spine and ribs and a whack of other things, and so for all intents and purposes, I've broken my back... and my neck... and yet I'm still walking around.... It's Obama... I'm sure of it... though it does explain why I just couldn't seem to stop hurting for much of 2007 and it just seemed to get worse and worse. Life is full of surprises... no? Though I've never been in a halo as another unfortunate party member has, thank Gore!

Twas, in fact, an Aclasta infusion on.... hell.... only a week ago now... that seemed to kick this off, though I'd had a sinus infection a few weeks before that I'm sure I just didn't really ever get rid of. Aclasta is a bisphosphenate, like Fosamax or Actonel, but as I also have Crohn's I can't take those oral medications, so I'm trying the Aclasta, which is fairly new to market, and is a once a year IV treatment. So I woke up on Friday with the noted side effects of 'flu like symptoms', including fever, but which kept getting worse and so landed me in emerg last Friday... but again, not in the hospital for months this time, so I can't complain.

Unfortunately, my spine is a bit mongered now and there's not much I can do about it. I'm hoping the Aclasta will keep me from breaking anything else... and I'm about to go and see my doc to make sure this chest bug is going away. The Crohn's keeps me from absorbing things properly and so we'll have to decide if I should switch to an injected antibiotic, but it'd need to be an IV rather an IM or subQ shot, and though I can do those, I get a bit worried about mainlining my own antibiotics, though it'd save me having to go back to the hospital - a place that's as likely to make me sicker as healthier, given all the bugs that live there... So maybe a new skill learned today. I've had so many IV's over the years I usually help the nurse put them in, so it can't be that hard and all that crap about air bubbles is a bit silly.... you really need at least six inches of air in your line, if not more, to have it do anything to your heart... your blood stream just absorbs small amounts... should be an interesting day...

Off I go...

I predict that it is a matter of time before Brooks abandons the reactionary "Réformistes" & joins the progressive forward looking Fourierists, especially since it they possess a more intellectual sounding name.

I think the author here misses the point. It isn't very encouraging that there is still time to stop Iran from gaining a nuclear warhead b/c they have a lot to do to purify the uranium they NOW POSSESS! if the IAEAAAEAE refused to do anything to stop Iran earlier in the process that was obviously headed in only one direction, and if China and Russia seem hell bent for leather to gain another nuclear ally against the US, doesn't that seem to imply that nothing will be done (by nothing read "negotiations") while Iran builds the structure for purification right under the nose of the IAEAEAEAEAE until one day we wake up, come to work, and zap! there's another radically violent nation with the capacity to leave a smear where their neighbors used to be? Meanwhile Somali pirates are probing the strength of the Allied Navy forces, China and Russia are on the move again and Al Gore is blogging on the collapse of the Mayan civilization due to their environmental abuse? Yes,Abe,you must learn to embrace the idea that all nations are entitled to achieve nuclear parity with the Great Satan(U.S.) and other countries. This is the only way that we can ensure equality among all nations. They must be able and willing to obliterate any nation who they deem unworthy to exist. This is only fair, dammit!
Not that they want to build a weapon, mind you. They're just looking for more power.
But if they were trying to build a weapon, that is their right as a rogue sovereign nation.

Joe the Plumber Flushes McCain

America's most famous plumber said he was appalled by the Republican presidential candidate's reasons for supporting the government's $700 billion bank rescue plan, and he said they nearly caused him to abandon McCain.
Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, who became a household name in the final weeks of the presidential campaign, said he asked McCain why he voted for the bank bailout and was stunned by some of the answers.
"I was angry," Wurzelbacher told conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Tuesday. "In fact, I wanted to get off the bus after I talked to him."
