Baby Covid's Outside

User avatar

(I really can't stay) But, baby, Covid's outside
(I've got to go away) But, baby, Covid's outside
(This evening has been) Been hoping that you'd drop in
(So very nice) I'll wash your hands this lotion's nice

(My mother will start to worry) Baby it's worse than scurvy
(My father will be pacing the floor) Do I need to call drug store?
(So really I'd better scurry) Temperature makes eyes blurry
(Well, maybe just half a drink more) I will call the medical corps

(The neighbors might think) Baby, there's disease out there
(Say what's in this drink) No toilet paper no where
(I wish I knew how) Your eyes are filled with fright now
(To break this spell) I'll take your pulse, Swelling lymph glands

(I ought to say no, no, no, sir) Mind if I sit a tad further
(At least I'm gonna say that I tried) They say we must shelter inside
(I really can't stay) Baby, don't go out
[Both] Baby, Covid's outside

(I simply must go) Baby, Covid's outside
(The answer is no) Baby, Covid's outside
(The welcome has been) How lucky that you dropped in
(So nice and warm) Look the panicked media warns

(My sister will be suspicious) Gosh those germs are malicious
(My brother will be there at the door) Nothing at the grocery store
(My maiden aunt's mind is vicious) Gosh those germ's malicious
(But maybe just a cigarette more) Never such pandemic before

(I got to get home) But, baby, you'll sneeze out there
(Say lend me a coat) There's lots of disease out there
(You've really been grand) I thrill when you glove my hand
(But don't you see) How could you give this Bug to me

(There's bound to be talk tomorrow) Think of my life long sorrow
(At least there will be plenty implied) If you caught this virus and died
(I really can't stay) It will get in your snout
[Both] Baby, Covid's
[Both] Baby, Covid's outside

According to #Maotoo, Comrade, this song should be banned due to its underlying xenofascist sensibilities and because it also tends to encourage cisgender person to cisgender person transmission

But in my opinion, this song is truly bending the equality curve upwards
