Che! You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

A proposal to create a Che memorial at UNC-Wilmington is great, but is it really aimed at (in Che's words) "keeping our hatred of capitalism alive and fanning it to paroxysm"?

Something tells me this might be an insidious plan by the running dogs of international imperialism. The quotes are all authentic and great, but will they foster the revolution at this stage in societal evolution when the cultural shift has not yet been completed?

Che! You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

Mike S. Adams wrote:In order to help counteract some of the misleading statements authors, journalists, academics, and celebrities have made about Guevara, I would propose that we model his memorial after Thomas Jefferson's. Following that plan, we could carve some of his most revealing quotes into the walls of the memorial for all to see. Some suggestions follow:

"A revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate." Che Guevara.

"If the nuclear missiles had remained we would have used them against the very heart of America, including New York City." Che Guevara.

"We will march the path of victory even if it costs millions of atomic victims... We must keep our hatred alive and fan it to paroxysm." Che Guevara.

"Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any enemy that falls in my hands! My nostrils dilate while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood. With the deaths of my enemies I prepare my being for the sacred fight and join the triumphant proletariat with a bestial bowl." Che Guevara.

Laika,

Following the lead in the title, I think it's time to take a Paul's song and make it better -

Che Dude (don't be afraid)

It shall be addressed to all dudes wearing Che shirts

LOL

Mike Adams sounds like a capitalist swine who doesn't know what commitment to a cause means.

Just because Che said things like:

"A revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate."

Doesn't mean he was a bad person.

Even I as a facsist can admire his commitment to the criminalization of gay sex, indescriminate incarseration and execution of suspected political enemies, and his determination to dominate men with brute force and iron will.

Nothing says commitment to a cause like a Che t-shirt.

Che, dude, don't make it bad
Buy a T-shirt or buy a sweater
Remember to wear him over your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Che, dude, don't be afraid
You were made to be a protester
The minute your professor gives you a grin
Then you begin to make it better.

And any time your parents complain, Che, dude, refrain
They'll carry the tuition upon their shoulders
Well don't you know they're all fools and Eichmann's tools
Just ask Ward Churchill up at Boulder

Che, dude, Don't let us down
You have a T-Shirt, now go protester
Remember, to wear Che over your heart
Communism will start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, Che, dude, begin
You're waiting for comrades to perform with
And don't you know that it's Ward too, Che, dude
You'll do, the movement you need is up in Boulder.

Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a Marx book and make it better
Remember to wear Che over your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Na na na na-na-na-nah Che Dude
Na na na na-na-na-nah Che Dude
Na na na na-na-na-nah Che Dude
Na na na na-na-na-nah Che Dude
