Image Quoting Claire Berlinski's recent Facebook post:
"I was there, unfortunately. And I'll use the words I am not permitted to use on Ricochet.
Listen to me, you motherfuckers. We will kill you to the last. We will never surrender. We are better at killing your kind than you will ever be able to imagine. You are as fucking dead and gone as your victims-- trust me on that or don't; you'll find out soon enough. Your victims will be remembered. You will be ashes and dust--and no one will remember your names."

Charlie Hebdo was also critical of Putin and his aggression against Ukraine with the annexation of the Crimea.

Hmmm,

A source of information, accessible to the public, providing a regular source of clever cultural commentary and political cartoons and artwork that's NOT the politically correct and approved party line, but from a satirical point of view?

Naaaaah, never work.

<off>

Vivé Charlie, et Vivé le Cube!

It's a good thing French law prohibits concealed carry. Just imagine what might have happened to them if those poor people had tried to shoot back.

Where did this French group called "National Front" come from? We must investigate for the good of the People's Cube!

They're a political party from France (Or Britain, there's a political party with the same name in Britain, assuming France because of the location of the attack) and, here's what I managed to dig up about their ideology:

"The National Front (Front national (or FN) is an economically protectionist, socially conservative, and nationalist political party in France. The party was founded in 1972 to unify a variety of French nationalist movements of the time. The party's ideology has been broadly described by scholars such as Shields as authoritarian, nationalist, and populist."

"Jean-Marie Le Pen (Stierlitz Note: Le Pen was the 1st leader of the National Front from 1972 to 2011, his daughter is leader now) wrote in the far-right weekly magazine Rivarol that the German occupation of France "was not particularly inhumane, even if there were a few blunders, inevitable in a country of [220,000 square miles]" ... Also in 2004, Bruno Gollnisch (Stierlitz Note: Gollnisch is a politician and member of the National Front) said "I do not question the existence of concentration camps but historians could discuss the number of deaths. As to the existence of gas chambers, it is up to historians to speak their minds" "

"Its major policies include economic protectionism (support for nationalization of certain industries) a zero tolerance approach to law and order issues, and anti-immigration. "

"At the end of the 1970s, Le Pen refurbished his party's appeal, by breaking away from the anticapitalist heritage of Poujadism. He instead made an unambiguous commitment to popular capitalism, and started espousing an extremely market liberal and antistatist program. Issues included lower taxes, reducing state intervention, and dissolving the bureaucracy. Some scholars have even considered that the FN's 1978 program may be regarded as "Reaganite before Reagan""

"From its beginnings, the party has strongly supported French nationalism and controls on immigration, and it often has been accused of fostering xenophobia and anti-Semitism."

"Marine Le Pen has admitted that her far-right Front National accepted money from a Russian bank, amid growing evidence that the Kremlin is backing anti-European parties across the continent. ... “We signed with the First [bank] who agreed and we're very happy about it,” she said ... Russian loans have also been extended to Greece's neofascist Golden Dawn party, Belgium's Vlaams Belang, Italy's Northern League, Hungary's Jobbik and the Freedom Party of Austria, The Times reports. All of these parties except Golden Dawn were invited to observe Crimea's vote on joining Russia and all offered their support for the annexation of the south-eastern Ukrainian region. ... "The Kremlin has been betting on the National Front," Jauvert said. "It considers the party able to take power in France and potentially reverse the course of European history in favour of Moscow". "

Hard to say what they are. Pro-capitalist yet support nationalization of industry? Accepted & are thankful for Russian gov't money and are anti-semitic? I can see the Russian money+Anti-semitism+Xenophobia, but Pro-capitalist yet supports industrial nationalization? Maybe it's some sort of mutated Crony Capitalism or just a re-iteration of the Soviet industrial system, I wouldn't be surprised by the latter with the recent actions of Russia & Putin & them accepting Russian money.

Comrade Red may have to use his skills of deduction on this caper, I cannot figure it out. It's the hardest of puzzles that I have ever encountered. Perhaps bring back the spirit of the late, Glorious Marshal Pupovich to help root out what is going on? Perhaps his nose could sniff out some things in the case, I've heard dogs can sniff out drugs double-packed in vacuum bags. But, they do accept glorious Russian Rubles to help them, perhaps they are soft to other ideologies. Maybe they are Communists in disguise? The Cube shall sniff it out, we have done it many times before! The Cube's glory shall ring through the haze of deception to reveal the Glorious Truth!

[PROG OFF]

The National Front in France is nothing like the American Tea Party, no matter how much we wish it were. Unfortunately, it has many characteristics of a European fascist movement and so it isn't really a preferred alternative to the currently ruling Socialist party.

That a French fascist movement like the National Front is cuddling with Putin is not news and it isn't surprising. I thought it's pretty clear by now that Russia is no longer communist, but is gravitating towards a fascist model instead, with Putin as a softer, postmodernist version of a Fuehrer (some Russians call him Putler). Putin may have been a nominal Communist Party member like many other Soviet officials (it was a job requirement for a KGB officer), but he has abandoned that ideology a long time ago.

Let's make one thing clear - Putin likes to throw around the word "fascist" as an insult to his enemies, and capitalises on WWII rhetoric at home, making many zombified Russians feel that they are fighting that war all over again with the dark, fascist West. But the system he has created is nothing less than fascist, closely resembling the Nazi Germany minus the economic efficiency. He is living proof of Churchill's words: "The fascists of the future will be called anti-fascists."

Putin's former advisor, Alexander Dugin, is a true fascist and anti-Semitic ideologue, complete with the revival of the national-chauvinist Aryan ideology. This Dugin maintains a close relationship with the French National Front and its current leader, Marine Le Pen. Those who read Russian can check his Facebook updates here - https://www.facebook.com/alexandr.dugin?

Dugin has, to a degree, masterminded and inspired the Russian nationalist separatism in the east of Ukraine, staying in direct contact with the leaders of the two self-proclaimed "people's republics" there. It is no coincidence that a bunch of French volunteers from the National Front came to Donetsk to fight alongside with the Russian national-chauvinists, killing Ukrainians, whom the Russian propaganda calls "fascists." It's completely insane, I know. When these French volunteers arrived, Dugin was peeing himself with excitement, compulsively posting exalted remarks on his Facebook page.

Back to France: this is the sad reality created by the European socialists - in the absence of real rational leadership, the only alternative to the Islamization of France is a fascist party like the National Front. That is, just about the only choice the French have now is either living in fear of terrorists or voting for the fascists. No wonder Marine Le Pen got 25% of the vote in the last election.

Very few in the West have ever heard of the obscure civil war in Tajikistan around 1990s. The two forces fighting each other were the Communists and the Islamists. That was the only choice left for the locals: if you don't like the Islamists, join the Communists. And vice versa. Whom would you choose in that situation?

Similarly, many Europeans have only three realistic choices: left-wing socialists, right-wing nationalist socialists (fascists), and Islamists. The blame is largely on the left-wing socialists, who have ruled in Europe for decades and created this mess, promoting multiculturalism and suppressing any tendencies associated with individualism and the free markets, which are the only force that could have brought Europe back on its feet.
